PACIFIC BLUE WITH A HINT OF GOLD. A day and night affair.

It has been a long time since I have written a post, well actually It has been a week but It felt like a lot of time, don't know why. Anyway, I'm back today with a very different post, Its a fashion relate post and I realised I haven't done any of these yet so I am quite excited. 

The look I came up with is very flirty yet subtle, It can be worn for a day as well as a night out.The blend between blue and gold has always been amusing to me, the blue dress has a fairly cool feel to it and on the other hand, the gold accessories and footwear gives it a warm touch making it appropriate for any occasion and time.

The main attraction of the ensemble according to me is the solid pacific blue skater dress as it is the right length of playful and cute without looking raunchy, whereas the gold rope neckpiece compliments the round neckline of the dress.

For a body structure like mine, I feel dresses that clench just below the bust line are adequate as it flaunts the waistline and make me appear proportionate. In this dress, the brown belt does the job really well and does not contradict with the whole carefree and playful theme.

I paired the look with this gold handcuff bracelet which gives a hint of elegance for a dressed up feel. Also, this pair of gold glitter loafers completes the attire and makes it look gorgeous and cute at the same time.

I have kept the eyes muted by just a winged eyeliner and lips playful by wearing this plum-berry sort of very cool undertoned lip color.

My hair was let loose in a very rough manner to make them look a little carefree and effortless to give a touch of the boho feel to the whole look.

NEUTROGENA DEEP CLEAN BLACKHEAD ELIMINATING DAILY SCRUB

This product is magic, it helps to eliminate blackheads and is made for daily use, I would still recommend not to use it daily because scrubbing your face daily can be a little harsh for the skin, you should rather use it 2-3 times a week and that should do the trick. The product works, it makes the skin softer and actually gets rid of blackheads. I've been using this product regularly for a month now and it has shown me positive results. Also, when you get a product which works wonders at a very affordable price why wouldn't you fall for it.

This product has become a must have for me, Its a thermal spring water for sensitive skin, as I have mentioned earlier I have oily problematic skin and sometimes when there is too much heat or I feel tired, my skin starts feeling really irritated and this product works amazingly at soothing it. It has natural antioxidants which protect and soothe the skin, I also use this product as a toner after I wash my face. It comes in a spray bottle which is really compact and easy to travel with.

MAYBELLINE FIT ME! MATTE + PORELESS FOUNDATION

I wasn't a fan of using foundation on a daily basis but this product has changed my makeup routine altogether, this is so light, easy-to-apply and comfortable on the skin that you won't even realize that you're wearing makeup. The coverage is medium but buildable and it doesn't look caked-up. This gives a natural finish and the shades they provide are suitable for Indian skin tones. The price of the product is quite affordable. My only problem with the product is that it doesn't come with a pump dispenser and is open once the lid is off and that could contaminate the product.

MAYBELLINE THE COLOSSAL LINER

If you are a big fan of winged eyeliner but just can't get it right, this is the product for you. I have been using this product regularly for a year now and even after using different eyeliners I keep coming back to this one as the precession it gives is irreplaceable. I've also heard good things about the Loreal super liner but I haven't tried that yet. Let me know if you think that one is better, though. As far as this one is concerned I swear by the product its pigmented and lasting enough, Its very easy to use as the tip is quite sturdy. If you are looking for an affordable eyeliner which easy to use and long lasting, you can give this a try.

Accessorizing hasn't been a part of my style for a tremendously long time, very recently I have started trying different statement pieces with my outfits and frankly have fallen in love with the way it turned out. I feel it just lifts up the look and can make any casual attire look really elegant and dressy.

If you feel like you don't have the time to get ready but want to add a difference to your look, just add some kohl to your water line and tight line, curl your lashes, a tinted lip balm, add some dry shampoo to your hair and you are good to go ! I use the L'OREAL PARIS KAJAL MAGIQUE and it works fine for me, you can also try other options, like the MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL one which is also really good.

Also, If you don't feel like using concealer and have to go out in daylight, just wear a pair of reflectors or dark shades and you are done ! I picked mine from a stall at M.G Road, Pune for 150 rs. :)

Bittersweet Orange Hues.

Orange is a color about the heart freshening sunsets, it has got the perfect farrago of bright yet subtle hues. On one hand it's fiery and vivacious, on the other hand, it reminds me of an elegant artwork. However you depict, you cannot agree to disagree on the fact that it is a beautiful color and can be a very good choice for a day as well as the night look.

Now that you know me a little we can start with the trends and products I'm going to talk about today.

ABOUT THE TREND

Today I would like to talk about the color orange, to be more specific, about "orange lips", red lips have been in fashion for a long time now and a change was much needed, the other day I was wearing a white shirt and reached towards my nude lipstick when I saw an orange lipstick in my stash and thought of experimenting a little, I knew about the popularity of orange lips but never wore any, and why didn't I? I don't know, I'm just happy that day I did because I totally fell in love with the way it turned out on my lips and the way it complimented the white. Frankly speaking, I felt as if it just enhanced the look manifold. 

If you do not wear bright lipsticks on a daily basis, I suggest you start with a coral orange that does not make you feel conscious yet adds that pop of color you need to lift up your look.

Orange suits every skin color and looks absolutely flattering on Indian skin tones, For all the college going girls, trust me orange is your best friend as it is not as bright as a red and not as subtle as a pink or nude, I feel it's just a perfect balance.

Also, orange lips go great with a day as well as a night look, the other day I was wearing a short black dress or an SBD as they call it and I ditched the red for orange and trust me it was worth the betrayal.

You can go for a yellow or blue undertone in the orange if you have a lighter skin tone, or a blue undertone if you have medium to dark skin tone.

RECOMMENDATION AND REVIEW

The lipsticks that  I would be showing here are from Revlon Street wear, simple reason being, I really want to target the college going segment of girls for this color and these lipsticks are really pocket-friendly and come in a wide range of colors. Today we would be talking about two orange based beautiful colors, though.

Street wear color rich ultra moist lipsticks in shade 19 (pink pirouette) and 26(berry dreamy). Talking of the first one, this lipstick is not even close to what the name suggests as it is in no way a pink but a beautiful bright orange color with blue undertones that goes well with any skin tone, It could go well with colors like black, white, peach, orange, tangerine and other pink family shades. 

Moving further to the latter shade i.e. 26 berry dreamy, it is a soft pretty coral-orange color that is totally a treat to the eyes, this one is for all the girls who do not like a lot of bright colors on their lips but still want to stand out, this lipstick is a dupe for the MAC Crosswires (added bonus :) which is a beautiful color, hands down one of my favorites. The lipsticks are creamy in texture and they do have a fragrance which I don't mind much, though. The staying power is not that impressive as it transfers very easily, the lipsticks do give a matte look even after being named ultra moist, I don't question the name as they are fairly moisturizing to the lips.The packaging is not that good but at the price, they are offered at its fine.

As an end note, I would like to say that these are a great option If you do not want to burn a hole in your pocket and still want to experiment with orange lips this spring as the price is very nominal.
